I like the overnight models better than the daytime ones. Seems like every morning, I wake up to see that they are all east of us. In any event, I'm not getting worked up until its closer and it actually organizes itself into something more impressive than a blob with a center that keeps reforming all over the place.
Now that I look at the satellite, it appears the center is where the NHC center is placing it. The thunderstorms are just misplaced to the south of the actual center making it appear further south than it actually is.
Right now it still seems little more than a glorified disorganized thunderstorm? I wouldn't be shocked if it just eventually died. It seems to me that nothing that was forecasted intensity-wise (or path-wise) is happening.
"My name is Jim, but my friends call me...............Jim."
The wind circulation does seem to be around close to the projected path. One thing about it being a mess, that is what the models call for at this point. Of course, with all the talk, it is still just a tropical storm.
The guys were up all night with this storm. The models were run with the new data and I believe that Sky said the 6z was run with the correct center. The dropsondes must have shown that the ridge is not as strong as the euro was predicting so it all is shifting east. I think the panhandle to the big bend is reasonable.

coffeecups: Came home to Harvey from Slidell. Had a little rain here and there. There was no rain in Slidell when I left at 3:30pm. While in NO EAST, I saw where it looked like it was storming around Covington going towards Slidell. Wet but no rain when I got home
