Now that he's moved a little west, he's picking up some fuel from the Gulf. There's a huge blow up on the south side of the circulation that will circle around to the southern parishes within the next hour.
Not one bit of good news from the 06z GFS, don't expect for things to improve much until later tonight, must likely after midnight.
Ndg, can you give a little more detail on gfs like where it's projecting Isaac to be in 12 and 24 hours? Thx.
It shows little by little move WNW to NW, to be only 50 miles or so WSW of Nola later this evening around sunset approaching the Atchafalaya Basin. Go up the basin and be between Alexandria and Lafayette 24 hrs from now, by then your wx should had improve by now, but you have a good 12-18 hrs of this wx to go through, in the Nola area.

I'm posting from my phone: I have moderate damage, the third floor apt lost a good portion of its roof and now the water is leaking into my apt. Water coming in from the walls and wall sockets. My neighbor lost his glass doors and another building in my complex also lost its room. This is intense!

I remember evacuating to a motel in Hammond for Andrew. The rain water came thru the cinder block walls and from around the a/c unit. Woke up in the middle of the night and stepped onto a soggy carpet--yuk!
SKYSUMMIT: I'm thinking this hurricane season will keep us a little busy. Nothing scientific, but just the idea that it really hasn't been hyped that much.

PinkFreud: No offense to whomever keeps changing the look of this forum, but this white theme is driving me crazy. What happened to the nice blues and grays?

coffeecups: That 'some rain on Friday' became a tornado about 3 miles away (as the crow flies). What a surprise! Glad I didn't have any flooding!

coffeecups: Mother Mary took care of my property again. Even the cat's food and water were by the door instead of floating to the drain. AMAZING!

coffeecups: Came home to Harvey from Slidell. Had a little rain here and there. There was no rain in Slidell when I left at 3:30pm. While in NO EAST, I saw where it looked like it was storming around Covington going towards Slidell. Wet but no rain when I got home
