SCP Serious Post: Parish President VJ St. Pierre just announced on TV that we will have a 6' tidal surge at the Seller's Canal, which will put 1-2' of water in the subdivisions south of Highway 90 (Willowdale/Davis/Willowridge/Mimosa...etc). PLEASE GO CHECK YOUR DITCHES for any type of debris blocking waterflow to the pump stations. Balls, Limbs, Plywood, trash can lids...they are the worst! This is everyone's responsibility, not just parish employees! We are one community...let's do this right and help our neighbors and parish staff! (Please note that 1-2' will not necessarily flood your house, but the streets will flood...do your part and make sure your street can drain properly).

coffeecups: Came home to Harvey from Slidell. Had a little rain here and there. There was no rain in Slidell when I left at 3:30pm. While in NO EAST, I saw where it looked like it was storming around Covington going towards Slidell. Wet but no rain when I got home
