Not sure if this is the right place to put this, if not please move it. Where is a good place to find wind shear charts. Ones that are meaningful for the tropics/Hurricane development. I am trying to educate myself.

There are many places, but here are a few I used the most.
Tidbits...You can book mark the main page, and under "Global", select which model you want. Then at the lower left, select which region you want. Then under "Upper Dynamics" at the bottom, you can select 200-850mb Wind Shear. Here is a direct link to it --> Click Here
CIMSS...here you can select "wind shear" and "shear tendency". Tendency will show you how the shear has been acting over the previous 24 hours. You can also look at mid level shear here which is more destructive to cyclones than upper level shear. --> Click Here

Oh yeah, this would have been 2005. It was the WWL-TV forums, which was the precursor to this website.
Yeah that was probably me. I left about two weeks before Katrina hit working in West Africa. I ate, breathed, and slept the wwl forum trying to fing out what was going on. Funny you remembered the name.
