* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for... North central St. John The Baptist Parish in southeastern Louisiana... Southeastern Livingston Parish in southeastern Louisiana... Southern Tangipahoa Parish in southeastern Louisiana...
* Until 100 PM CDT
* At 1214 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 10 miles south of Springfield, or 14 miles north of Laplace, moving northeast at 20 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
* Locations impacted include... Hammond, Ponchatoula, Springfield, Robert and Killian.
Prepare immediately for large hail and deadly cloud to ground lightning. Seek shelter inside a well-built structure. Stay away from windows.

coffeecups: Came home to Harvey from Slidell. Had a little rain here and there. There was no rain in Slidell when I left at 3:30pm. While in NO EAST, I saw where it looked like it was storming around Covington going towards Slidell. Wet but no rain when I got home
